The Reds take on Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night, with Jurgen Klopp’s side looking to make it 11 wins in a row in all competitions.
The Reds warmed up for their European showdown with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Huddersfield on Friday night, and booked their place in the final four with a comprehensive 6-1 aggregate win over Porto in the quarter-finals.
But standing in the way of the Reds and a second successive final is a Barcelona side which claimed the La Liga title on Saturday night, with Lionel Messi coming off the bench to help inspire his side to victory.
The Reds have sold their 4,620 allocation for the tie, with the Spanish giants expecting the game to be sold out, meaning around 99,000 fans will watch the action unfold at one of football’s most historic grounds
And fans without a ticket, or those who haven't made the trip to the Catalan city, can watch all the action unfold on BT Sports 2, with coverage starting at 7pm.
The Reds have been handed a huge boost ahead of the first-leg, with Roberto Firmino included in Jurgen Klopp’s travelling party.
Team-mates Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also been included in the Reds’23-man squad, but Klopp is expected to wait until matchday to decide whether Firmino, who suffered a minor muscle tear in training prior to the Huddersfield clash, will feature against the Spanish giants.
But Fabinho is available following the head injury he sustained at Cardiff City on April 21, while Oxlade-Chamberlain, who made his first appearance for the Reds’ first-team in over a year against the Terriers, has trained as normal.
The Dutchman last took charge of a Liverpool Champions League back in December 2014, with the Reds being held to a 1-1 draw by FC Basel, thanks to Steven Gerrard’s goal for Brendan Rodgers’ side at Anfield .
While Kuipers has taken charge of two Barcelona games since officiating his last Liverpoolone, with both matches ending in draws for the Blaugrana.
The first came back in September 2015, when the Catalan side held to a 1-1 draw by AS Roma in Rome - before two years later, the 46-year-old oversaw Barca’s 0-0 draw with Juventus in their quarter-final second leg tie at the Camp Nou.
